1. Color change
The best way to keep your clothes from losing colour is to hand wash them in cold water. Whenever you use the washing machine, it's always a good idea to use a towel to catch the paint.

2. Spot treatment
Use a safe stain/stick remover to treat your cotton salwar suit in certain areas. Focus on areas affected by sweat and antiperspirant (armpits and cleavage), as well as acne.

If the stain is fresh, run your object through the back of the stain under a cold tap for 3-5 minutes, then rub the stain gently for about a minute. If the stain persists, repeat this step 2 to 3 times.

To remove old stains, rub a small amount of liquid detergent on a still-wet surface, then let it sit for 5-7 minutes. Then gently rub the stain between your fingers again to loosen it and rinse thoroughly with cold water.
Alternative treatments include using vinegar, lemon juice, hydrogen peroxide or safe coloured bleach, baking soda, alcohol, and even egg yolks. More about it here
3. Drying, shrinking and stretching
Keep in mind that salwar suit shrinks very quickly the first time you wash it and is known to shrink. Always read the care label on your clothes before washing them for cleaning instructions. If you're not sure, use cold water. Avoid drying your clothes on a clothesline, as hanging them can stretch the fabric.

4. Ironing and folding
Cotton salwar suit is a fairly sturdy fabric and can be ironed at higher temperatures without the risk of glossing or burning. For a cleaner, smoother look, iron the back or inside of the fabric as well as the outside. Start by ironing the bottom or the inside of the fabric to remove any creases as you iron the outside. If your clothes have pre-existing stains/stains, you run the risk of ironing them into the fabric. However, to avoid this, we recommend not ironing the area or ironing it with a damp cloth.

Cotton is very easy to fold, so it's best to hang your cotton salwar suit clothes instead of folding them. For better shape retention results, buy hangers that are thick and shaped rather than wire. There are some life hacks on how to get rid of wrinkles online, but we love this site.
If you decide to use the hot shower method, we recommend that, for environmental reasons, you shower at the same time as removing wrinkles from your clothes.
5. Don't let clothes be eaten
Yes, you heard it right - eat! About moths and silverfish. Cotton salwar suit, like silk and wool, is organic and absorbs sweat and natural oils from the skin very easily and often fall prey to these native pests.

To keep your favourite cotton salwar suit safe, don't leave your dirty clothes lying around for too long - holding the laundry in is one of the best ways to keep moths from becoming a problem. And remember that mirraw is always there for you!
Clean your closet - more space between items of clothing means that moths have less opportunity to eat several items of clothing at the same time. Clean every corner of your closet.
