Sandals were first made around 10,000 years ago in the United States. It is the oldest known footwear till now and it was first made of fibres, leaves and twigs. It was later made of cork and papyrus. Sandals are usually worn during the summers in order to keep the feet dry and cool. Sandals are good for the feet and it prevents athlete`s foot and is good for any treatment after infection.
Here is some different type of flat sandals that I am going to discuss:
1. WHITE FLATS
These flats footwear is stylish in design which are white in colour. They are comfortable to wear and can be used for casual purposes and during different functions. It has a round toe for the sandal and is made up of synthetic material. It is usually worn by the older people and it goes well with the sarees and another traditional outfit.
2. BLACK SANDAL WITH FLOWERS
This type of sandal is for party wear and goes with only specific dresses. They can be worn for casual purposes too and is black in colour. It has a round toe and a semicircular strap on the top for the support of the legs. It can easily be taken out from the legs and is made up of synthetic material.
3. PINK BELLIES
These are light in weight and can be used for ballet dancing. It is made up of synthetic and is flexible so that it does not break while dancing. It has a leather sole, so it gives a long-lasting effect. It is less expensive than the average ballet shoes. It is simple and is elegant to look.
4. GREY MULES
This shoe has no back around the foot heal and can be worn for many occasions. They are typically indoor shoes but can also be worn outside. This type of shoe has changed the style over time and has a bow designed on the top. They are made up of synthetic material with patchwork done on them. These are worn with dressing gowns or any loose outfits which gives you comfort. It is simple and has a beauty like no other.
5. ROSE CROWN
These are chappals which originated from Kolhapur. It is mainly worn in the Maharashtra and Karnataka. They are made from hand-crafted leather and is coloured by the use of pink vegetable dyes. Kolhapuri was first worn during the 13th Century and was previously known by different names like Pukari, Kachkadi, Kapashi etc. It takes around six weeks to make a pair of Kolhapuri flat shoes but now with the use of softer and cheaper products, it can be made faster. The use of ethnic designs is very prominent in this chappal and is decorated with sequins. They can last a lifetime except it shouldn`t be used during the rainy season. It has an embroidery work on top which has been handcrafted.
In this blog, I have shared my view on a few flat sandals as it gives comfort for several seasons. It is economical and has a distinguished fashionable design and keeps the feet cool.
