Let's name the New Year by taking a look back at some of the best designs that topped the charts in 2021. The summer, fall and winter collection screams like never before with dynamic, eccentric and beautiful designs. From independent blends to open shoulders, robes, crop tops, palazzos and strapless designs - this is an endless list of all the good things (plus a gorgeous colour palette) that has happened in the fashion world. It's definitely not easy to sift through the various fashion considerations and list a few, but we did it anyway, because why not?
1. Peek-a-boo pants
Even Kurtis with straight-cut pants with the embroidery facing down caught fire like a forest fire. The possibilities in this design are countless. With an Indian spirit and bohemian chic, these ready-to-wear designs from Anita Dongre are sure to amaze you.
Floor-length designs have been around for a long time, and let's face it - there's bound to be an overdose that sometimes leaves a bad taste in the aftertaste of designers who don't handle it well. But hey, look what we've got - this combination of long sleeves, floor-length and Pakistani pants soaked in this masterpiece make us unable to stop drooling. This is Anita Dongre for you
2. Dazzle with a jacket
Let's talk about royalties for a second, and while we're at it, I don't think it can get any better. With a gorgeous design in navy blue by Anita Dongre (yes, we agree - it has to be the best), a whole new royal quality opens up for the floor-length gown. She played masterfully with the silver ornaments on the pants and the hem of the dress in just the right proportions.
3. Muted yellow garden and palazzo design
If you're like me, you love every color and shade of yellow; You love summer and are already in love with this dress. Another piece of art from Anita Dongre's 2021 summer collection that, like any dress, has a story to tell and at the same time redefines romance.
4. Kutch and Caddy Offwhite
The only thing unique and relevant to the Purvi Doshi design is the indie-fusion version of the traditional Salwar Kameez model. She is passionate about working with Kutch, African and Khadi designs which are the best of both worlds (Indo-Western) and which are the revitalizing indie fashion niche she needs right now. You can't help but drool at the subtle and warm color palette, piercing silhouettes, and touching details.
This serum-coloured cotton Anarkali with squid and forest green patchwork adds just enough detail to maintain elegance. Finely drawn mirrors and thread-stitched packages highlight other details. The front slit and convex sheen add definition and fit.
5. Hot Pink Embellished Blouse
Kurtis is known for their glamorous and progressive approach to turning Indian costumes into eccentric designs. She does a commendable job of balancing her act while working with cheerful colors but none of them stings in the face. It is a designer who can make you feel ready for the track. If you are a fashionista who likes to make a statement, this is your best bet. Luxurious silk blouse in fuchsia pink; with satin that adds shine, subtle gold trim and a dazzling V-neckline. The bottom, which resembles Lycra-Satin-Dhoti, in monochrome carnation pink and mesh sari skirt completes the look perfectly.
